OPCOM Group of Companies consisting of Opcom Shared Services Sdn Bhd, Opcom Cables Sdn Bhd, Opcom Engineering Services Sdn Bhd and Unigel Compounds have recently concluded a safety campaign held in the Opcom headquarters in Shah Alam. With the theme “Together We Can Create Safe Workplaces”, the safety campaign aim is to instill safety awareness among the employees in building a successful safety culture at the workplace. The campaign runs from 23rd September 2022 to 6th October 2022. Several activities and talks on safety were held during the period.
- Safety and health at the workplace talk by JKKP Selangor (23rd September 2022)
The talk was given by En. Wan Saiful Nizam from JKKP Selangor. It was a very interactive session which introduce the participants to DOSH, responsibilities of employers and employees, do’s and don’t in safety and others. Participants also can ask any questions regarding safety during the session. - Blood donation campaign by Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, Klang (30th September 2022)
As part of OPCOM Group of Companies CSR program, the blood donation campaign aim is to raise the awareness among the participants on the importance of blood donation to save lives. The blood donation was also supported by our neighbor (KLK Bioenergy) which allow their employees to participate in the program. During the campaign, we managed to collect 29 packets of blood from the participants. - Road safety campaign and talk by JPJ Selangor (6th October 2022)
The talk was given by Pn. Wan Zaleha from JPJ Selangor. The talk engaged the participants on the subjects of road safety especially for the bikers. The participants were exposed with the statistics, pictures and videos on road safety to create awareness on the subject. Q&A session also conducted with prizes given to the winners.
From the participation and response from the employees during the campaign, the campaign is a huge success and it is one of the awaited activities in the future.
